Tonight, is when the heats are starting in the Coral Regency greyhound festival, and with early prices being offered at betting sites such as the sponsor of that event and over at the BetFred betting site, there is loads of value waiting to be mopped up.
In events such as this one anything can and usually does happen, and with that in mind I will be looking at just which greyhounds may just go on to win that event or even get placed, and BetFred are paying out to four places and at a quarter of the odds on each-way bets placed with them on the Coral Regency.
The heats are being broadcast on SKY tonight, so if you want to tune in and watch those heats taking place then that is the TV service you should be making use of, and as for just which greyhound is leading the betting markets that greyhound is Magical Icarus at 9/2.
The second favourite is currently Stardom at 5/1, however those first and second favourites respective odds do give you an indication of just how open the Coral Regency is this year, and there may be some much better value and certainly each-way by backing some of the other greyhounds.
Roxholme Poppy and Antigua Fire
As for a couple of other greyhounds that are leading the field on the ante post betting markets, well Roxholme Poppy at 6/1 is certainly going to be in with a chance and with some good trap allocations that greyhound could fly through the heats.
It is also possible that Antigua Fire at 7/1 could give you a good run for your money, and at those odds there is plenty of value to be had by backing it outright or even by backing it each-way as it may just finish in one of the top four positions in the final race.
Double Digit Odds Possibilities
The greyhounds that have double digit odds begin with Affleck Bolt at 10/1 and then following the greyhound is Brigadier Bullet at 12/1. There are a couple of 14/1 shots, and they are Clares Kyletaun and Goldie’s Hotspur either of whom could run a big race in their respective heats tonight.
Much like there are a couple of 14/1 there are also a couple of 16/1 shots and they are Shotgun Happy and Roxholme Butt at 16/1, and those odds do mean the is plenty of each way value to be had by backing either of them.
Three 20/1 shots are currently on offer at the BetFred betting site and they are Aayamza Breeze and Avastorm followed by no end of 25/1 shots, and of them could also do well in their heats.
For reference those 25/1 are Headford Maurice, Sheldan, Burgess Honey, Arthurs Impact and Droopys Denny and it’s a fair bet that several of them could fly through their heats, and make it round to the next stage, but their odds will drop if they do of course!
