Seven Places Being Paid on the Wells Fargo Championship

The next major golf tournament that you may be interested betting on is of course the Wells Fargo Championship that will be starting tomorrow on the 2nd of May, and one of our featured betting sites are paying out to seven places this year on each-way bets struck with them.

That betting site is BetFred, and today I want to take a quick look at the way the early betting has been going on that tournament, in the hope you will get an idea of just which golfer or golfers may be worth backing either to win the event or get placed in one of the top seven positions instead.

As for the percentage of the win odds you will get paid out to on the place part of an each-way bet, well one fifth of the current outright winner odds are being offered by BetFred to each-way punters, and with no supposed red-hot favourite to win this event this year there are plenty of betting opportunities that do stand out.

The most obvious golfer that plenty of punters have been latching onto is of course Rory McIlroy, and he does have to have an outstanding chance off either winning or getting placed, and BetFred have him currently chalked up at odds of 6/1.

Jason Day and Rickie Fowler

The odds do jump somewhat on both the next two golfers on the early betting markets for this golf tournament, however both of those two golfers are in with a great chance of getting placed in one of the top seven positions so could be worth a punt.

For reference those two golfers are Jason Day whose odds are currently around the 11/1 mark and Rickie Fowler who amazingly is still available at odds of around 12/1, and he must have a great chance of getting placed if not winning this tournament this year!

Other Golfers Being Backed Each-Way

I do think it’s fair to say that any of the golfers that are available at odds of 25/1 or lower will have a mighty fine chance of being placed in one of the top seven positions of this golf tournament this year, and as such a allow me to take a quick look at just which golfers they currently are.

Justin Rose at 14/1 is next in the betting followed by Hideki Matsuyama at 18/1, a couple of golfers that have been attracting a little bit of support from each-way sharks are Tony Finau and Webb Simpson and at odds of 20/1 you may fancy their chances.

There are currently three golfers that are all chalked up as 25/1 shots, and any of them may catch your attention, and if so you will of course need to know just how they are and those 25/1 shots are Gary Woodland, Sergio Garcia and Phil Mickelson, but do keep in mind that it is BetFred that are offering both those odds and those rather favourable each-way betting terms too.
